Initially, this FAQ was created by taking the original .txt version by Nick Gilmour and just chopping it up into the 5 seperate sections.
Due to the huge, and ever growing, nature of the FAQ when simply in .txt form, these HTML files are large. I'm told there are plans to revolutionize the format of the FAQ. Until then, to accomodate your downloading needs each section has now been chopped up further so that each question has its own page. This has increased the total size of the FAQ, but will make it much easier and quicker to browse through.
If you are using a slow link, I could recomend switching off the graphics when you load the pages. This, of course, makes the whole point of a Web version redundant. So you might just as well download the .txt version.
Finally, all the graphics within these pages were created specifically for the FAQ. Feel free to take them. However, the quality has been much reduced and the size shrunk. Therefore, because I'm sure you'd all rather get hold of the original, full size, billions of colour jpegs, each image is linked back to the page from which I originally grabbed it.
There will be a handful of images that have no link. There are currently two reasons for this:
- I have been unable to find that image on the Web, and had to get it sent to me via email. In this case, as far as I am aware, this image is the only version on the Web.
- The image is neither on the Web, nor does anyone I know have it so I had to create it as a fake. These pictures may be pulled if I receive serious complaints about them. But at the moment, they are just there for fun.
In either case, if you wish to have the original image contact me and I'll let you know if it exists.
If you have a better copy of any of these images, please put it up on the web so others can appreciate it also :)
My thanx to everyone of the KLF List for their help in all stages of this FAQ, especially Stuart Young, Nick Gilmour, Lazlo Nibble, Erik Gander and everyone else I haven't mentioned.
As usual, all comments/criticism/donations welcomed.
